The Seeds of Akuamma, Erowid Doesn’t Talk About

By | February 22, 2019

Kratom is legal in many states of America, but there are a few states that won’t allow Kratom. Kratom users have to go to Kratom legal states or find Kratom alternatives.

So far, there is the Akuamma, Erowid doesn’t always mention. Erowid has a group of people that aim to spread the awareness of the wonders of psychoactive plants. They talk about a lot of psychoactive but never Akuamma.

Erowid should mention this plant more. What is the Akuamma Erowid doesn’t always mention, though?

What Are These Akuamma Seeds?

The Seeds of Akuamma, Erowid Doesn’t Talk About

You can find Akuamma seeds growing from a plant located in parts of Africa. This plant is the Picrialima Nitida.

This plant grows in countries such as Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria. In these parts of Africa, they enjoy using this plant for its analgesic effects.

Akuamma seeds have a rich history in Africa. The seeds get dried and then get turned into powder. The natives also used the bark of the Akuamma plant to treat other diseases.

Akuamma seeds get turned into powder for traditional medicine. The bark of the Akuamma plant is useful, too. The natives would boil the bark to use it against diseases transmitted by parasites in the area.

The Akuamma seeds are more popular than the bark when it comes to countries outside of Africa.

People found that Akuamma seeds work as a kind of alternative medicine. They feel a batch of benefits better than pharmaceutical medications. Using Akuamma in any form can treat various ailments.

You can take Akumma seeds in these forms:

  • Seeds crushed into a powder
  • Capsules
  • Tincture

The reason why Akuamma is effective is because that it contains plenty of alkaloids. The present alkaloids in the Akuamma seeds are akuammine and pericine.

Akuammine has a relation towards the mitragynine, which is an alkaloid inside Kratom. The other alkaloids present in Akuamma seeds are:

  • Akuammidine
  • Akuammincine
  • Pseudoakuammigine
  • Akuammigine

What Are the Effects of Akuamma Seeds?

If you have ever used Kratom, then you might know how it will feel like to use Akuamma seeds. They offer similar effects, but it seems Akuamma can provide more results.

Some of the known health benefits of Akuamma seeds are:

  • Pain Relief
  • Sedation and Calmness
  • Anti-inflammatory effects
  • Antioxidant
  • Energy booster
  • Stress Relief
  • Muscle relaxant

The alkaloids in Akuamma seeds are different from Kratom though. They can control glucose levels and combat parasite attacks. This makes Akuamma seeds effective against the following ailments:

  • Malaria
  • Parasites
  • Diabetes
  • Diarrhea

The Right Akuamma Seed Dosage

Do remember that Akuamma seeds can treat pain but can also cause adverse reactions if taken in large doses. These are some of the common dosages you can take Akuamma seeds in.

Some of the suggested dosages are as follows:

  • 250 mg to 500 mg for a regular dose
  • 2 to 4 grams for a larger dose
  • 6 or more grams only when necessary

A regular dose should be around one or two seeds. Never use a teaspoon to measure your dosage. Use a digital scale to better view how much Akuamma seed powder you will get after crushing the seeds.

Only take the large dose if you are under extreme pain. The worse you can get when you take a very high Akuamma seed dosage is either nausea or headaches.

Other adverse effects some users can experience are gastrointestinal dysfunction and breathing problems.

This happens thanks to the sedation effects of the Akuamma seeds. To prevent this, don’t take anything over 8 grams of the Akuamma seeds.

The Akuamma Erowid Needs to Spread Awareness Of

It is strange that Erowid isn’t mentioning Akuamma seeds at all. Erowid is the kind of organization that is ready to give more understanding of psychoactive plants such as Kratom and Kava. They should do the same for Akuamma seeds too.

There’s a possibility that Erowid isn’t talking about Akuamma since it’s 100% legal. Meanwhile, Kratom is banned in six states right now. A lot of former Kratom users want alternatives.

Some Kratom users in banned states did turn to Kava and Kanna as their other options. This is because they have yet to try out Akuamma.

Erowid does aim for a world for that has more acceptance towards psychoactive plants. Akuamma should be put on the list for them to talk about real soon.
